Welcome to the Performing Arts Parent Squad signup!
Each family Jr. Musical MUST sign up for 2 slots a school year
Parent Squad participation is required for Eagle's Nest parents who have students enrolled in the Jr. Musical program on Monday. Parent Squad parents help supervise students in the hallways, in the "breakroom", and in the quiet study. You may also be asked to help with other tasks such as set-up, serving lunch, end-of-day cleanup.
Before Signing Up:
*You are required to serve 2 slots during the semester.
*You must sign up before the end of August.
*After choosing your service dates, please mark them on your calendar. You will get an email from the calendar as your reminder, but you will not receive any other communication.
*If you cannot work the day you are scheduled, it is YOUR responsibility to arrange a sub or swap your shift with another parent.
*Please be mindful that if you sign up for two slots on one day and you can not make it in that day, you are responsible to fill both slots @ $40 each. If you no show, you are fined for each slot.
Note: Please do not forget to complete the online background check AND the online child protection class BEFORE your 1st scheduled parent squad shift.
How to sub or swap:
1. We have a list of parents willing to sub. Please contact the parents on the list FIRST before asking the community as a whole. The earlier you send out the request, the more likely you are to get a response.
2. If you are able to arrange a sub, you will need to pay the Performing Arts department $40. Kelly will the release the money to the sub..
3. If you arrange for someone to sub for you, you (not the sub) must contact Kelly Gritts @ 404-977-8245 BEFORE the covered shift begins. She needs to know who is covering for you on what date and shift.
** If you do not cover your shift, you are subject to a $75 fine.
If you would like to be an "on-call" sub on Thursdays, talk to Kelly. On-call subs get $40 every time they cover a shift, or they can choose to donate the money back to the program for our Kindness Fund. See Kelly Gritts for more details.
